How to connect your Garza devices to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network?

Jan. 27, 2025

If you have Garza smart devices and are having trouble setting them up, it may be because they are trying to connect to the 5 GHz Wi-Fi network, which is not supported. Don't worry, here we explain how to make sure everything works correctly using your home's 2.4 GHz network.

How to connect your Garza devices to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network?

Step 1: Identify your Wi-Fi network

The first thing you should do is check if your router is broadcasting two separate Wi-Fi networks. To do this:

- Go to the Wi-Fi settings on your mobile phone.

- Look for two network names. Usually, one will include something like “_5G” or “PLUS.” That’s the 5 GHz network.

- Connect to the other network, which will be the 2.4 GHz one.

If you don’t see two networks, you may have a feature called “Smart Wi-Fi” or “Smart Connect” enabled, which combines both networks into one.

Step 2: Temporarily disable the 5 GHz band

In case you only see a network name, you can ask your internet provider to disable the 5 GHz network and “Smart Wi-Fi.” Call your company’s customer service and explain. They will be able to do it remotely.

After this, restart your router so that the Wi-Fi network is properly set up.

Step 3: Configure your Garza devices

Garza offers a wide range of smart devices designed to make your daily life easier. From Wi-Fi light bulbs that you can control with your mobile phone to smart plugs that allow you to schedule your appliances to turn on and off, these products stand out for their ease of use and functionality. With the Garza Smart app, you can manage everything centrally, creating a more efficient and connected home.

Open the Garza Smart app on your phone and make sure you're connected to the 2.4 GHz network. Follow the instructions in the app to set up your smart devices. It's a simple process that will guide you step by step.

Step 4: Re-enable the 5 GHz network

Once your Garza devices are set up, you can ask your provider to re-enable the 5 GHz network and “Smart Wi-Fi.” This will allow you to enjoy both bands without interference.

Remember that the 2.4 GHz network is ideal for smart devices, as it offers greater stability over long distances. If you are having trouble, you can also contact Garza support for further assistance.

Follow these steps and your Garza devices will work seamlessly on your Wi-Fi network!
