McCulloch's history spans more than 60 years. In 1943, Robert McCulloch, a businessman, founded a company called McCulloch Motors Corporation. After a few years, the company moved its headquarters from Wisconsin to California, where McCulloch Motors manufactured its first chainsaw, a model called the 5-49 that required two people to use.
In 1949, McCulloch revolutionized the chainsaw industry with the introduction of a lightweight, one-person chainsaw called the 3-25. The North American timber industry would never be the same. In 1999, McCulloch sold its European division to Husqvarna AB. Nine years later, Husqvarna also acquired the rights to the McCulloch brand in the North American market. Since then, McCulloch is a brand that belongs to the Husqvarna Group. Today, McCulloch has a wide range of gardening products: powerful chainsaws, durable trimmers, lawnmowers, tractors and hedge trimmers. They all offer all the power you need to get any job done.
