This bit is suitable for drilling standoff holes and piles in steel and steel alloys, non-ferrous metals, cast steel, cast iron, and plastic. It has a cylindrical shank system (with insert shank the same diameter as the drill bit) and is intended for use with hand and bench drills.

The risk of breakage is low, especially for bits less than 6mm in diameter, as they are made with a highly elastic body. Black oxide coated groove facilitates quick chip removal.
