More informationCompact domestic reverse osmosis equipment, and optionally ultraviolet disinfection lamp. Suitable for food use or for the care of plants and flowers, aquariums, steam irons, coffee makers and many other possible applications.
The CILLIT®-BONAQUA range of equipment is used for the separation of unwanted elements or compounds in drinking water as well as for other specific applications.
In certain areas that have significant salinization of the aquifers, the supplied water may have a bad taste, also in rural areas it may be desired to have additional protection against organic fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, etc. and in areas of high industrial concentration against heavy metals or other undesirable elements.
The use of CILLIT®-BONAQUA equipment allows the elimination of practically all elements and polluting substances in the water, such as organic compounds (pesticides, herbicides, aromatic hydrocarbons), heavy metals (lead, mercury, cadmium), nitrates, as well as bacteria, viruses and pyrogens. They are designed to produce a volume of pure water of approximately 1720 liters / day assuming a total dissolved solids (TDS) of 1000 mg / l, with a reduction of more than 90% in the concentration of salts and other substances contained in the water of input.
The water thus treated recovers all its purity and natural flavor, being perfectly suitable for food use and consumption.
For the care of plants and flowers, aquariums, steam irons, coffee makers (in which calcareous or saline deposits will be avoided), for the manufacture of transparent ice cubes, photographic laboratories and many other possible applications.

How CILLIT Bonaqua direct reverse osmosis works:
The water to be treated first passes through a 5 µm sediment pre-filter to retain the fine particles.
The water then circulates through two active carbon pre-filters in series where chlorine, a compound that could damage the osmosis membrane, and the organic matter contained in the water supplied to the equipment are removed.
The second filter acts as a safety filter to prevent the first one from being exhausted and also to eliminate chlorine concentrations higher than usual as a result of shock disinfection.
Subsequently, the water passes through the reverse osmosis module where the semi-permeable membrane is housed. Here a central collector collects the permeated water (low saline concentration). For this process a minimum pressure of 2 bar or even higher is required depending on the salinity of the water.
