EXPERT ADVICE
- Mistakes to avoid:
TREAT PLANTS THE SAME
Each plant has different needs for light, temperature, humidity and water. It is advisable to find out in advance about the biology of outdoor plants in order to plan irrigation in a systematic, accurate and effective way.
FORGETTING TO WATER THEM
It seems obvious, but it is one of the most frequent mistakes. Or water them without a system: a few weeks more and others less or not at all because the previous week you already watered them too much. The best way is to schedule the irrigation or install an automated system.
ALWAYS WITH THE SAME FREQUENCY
This is another common mistake. In general, in summer and during flowering it is convenient to hydrate the plants more frequently, while in winter the watering will be less. When in doubt, a trick is to check the soil with your finger: if it is wet, it is not necessary to water.
EXCESS WATERING
Not watering it is just as bad for the plant as watering it too much. An excess of water fills the voids in the substrate and expels the air. Without air, the roots suffocate and die. The symptoms that the plant will present will be the same as those due to drought (the leaves fall...).
