In the early history of this company, we found a 28-year-old merchant interested in science: Fritz Henkel. On September 26, 1876, he and two partners founded the Henkel & Cie company in Aachen, Germany, to market their first product: a universal detergent created from silicate.
Over the next several years, this German family of entrepreneurs, together with its thousands of employees and employees, built the global company that is Henkel today.
The German group settled in Spain in 1961 after buying the Spanish company Gota de Ámbar, SA and in 1970 it landed on the Portuguese market.
