The Grundfos UPA 15-160 pump is a domestic pressure booster designed to increase the pressure of potable water supplied from an external source in homes. UPA booster pumps increase the pressure of sanitary water so that the required pressure is available in showers, faucets and other water intakes.
The pump has a 1 inch inlet and outlet port. The nominal pressure of the pump corresponds to PN 10 and has a port to port length of 203 mm. UPA 15-160 gives you the convenience of constant water pressure with automatic start and stop. This is controlled by the external flow switch, which ensures optimum start/stop of the booster pump on demand. The flow switch is supplied with the pump. The robust design and corrosion-resistant materials, together with the cataphoresis-coated cast-iron bobbin housing ensure a long service life. The pump is of the canned rotor type, ie the pump and motor form an integral unit without a seal. This pump should always be installed with a horizontal drive shaft. This high-efficiency booster set features a four-pole synchronous permanent magnet motor with a frequency converter. The bearings are lubricated with the pumped liquid. These constructive features guarantee maintenance-free operation.
